TECHNICAL SERGEANT JAMES W. HUDSON

TSgt James W. Hudson is the Reserve Officer Training Corps Training Instructor at The University of Kansas, AFROTC Detachment 280.  He instructs and mentors the 65+ member detachment of future U.S. Air Force and Space Force officers, comprised of college freshman through seniors. He teaches Aerospace Studies 100 and 200 courses, as well as Leadership laboratories. Sergeant Hudson is also responsible for cadet pay, scholarship funding, medical clearances, security clearances, travel arrangements, contracting, and commissioning.

Sergeant Hudson is an Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Operator by trade and has amassed over 1,700 hours, with over 800 combat hours, on electronic attack aircraft in support of OPERATION INHERANT RESOLVE, OPERATION FREEDOM SENTINEL, and OPERATION RESOLUTE SUPPORT.  He is qualified as an instructor & evaluator Mission Crew Supervisor on the EC-130H COMPASS CALL platform. 

Sergeant Hudson served as an Electronic Signals Intelligence Analyst, prior to becoming a Career Enlisted Aviator, and supported OPERATION ODYSEEY DAWN and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.  Sergeant Hudson also completed a short tour to Iraq as a Weapons Intelligence Analyst in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.
