Welcome to Air Force and Space Force ROTC at the University of Kansas.        
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the office is physically closed. We are still available via electronic means of communication, and please refer to for further guidance.
We have a great Air Force and Space Force ROTC program here at the University of Kansas. Detachment 280, the Flying Jayhawks, comprises over 100 cadets who are full-time students from the University of Kansas and our cross-town schools which include Baker University, Benedictine College, Donnelly College, Haskell Indian Nations University, Johnson County Community College, Mid America Nazarene University, Ottawa University, Park University, University of Saint Mary and Washburn University. As part of our program, you’ll take part in Air and Space Studies classes, Leadership Laboratory, and Physical Training.  

The University of Kansas will award the In-State tuition rate for ALL Air Force and Space Force ROTC cadets that are either on scholarship or contract.
